Palmdale International Airport, January 30, 1992: Following the landing of STS-42 at Edwards AFB on January 30, I headed over to Palmdale to see what was flying in the pattern. McD0nnell-Douglas KC-10A Extenders from March AFB shot many touch and go landings. A Rockwell B-1B Lancer took off. I visited Blackbird Airpark. A Grumman Gulfstream II Shuttle Training Aircraft made a couple of passes over the airfield. A Beech C-12 Huron and a Vought F-8 Crusader departed, and the McDonnell-Douglas MD-11 prototype flew over.
